Olive Green Safari Dress: Functional Pockets, Roll Tab Sleeves and Laces

Who remembers the utility trend that made a huge comeback in 2019? When suddenly catwalks for menswear were flooded with cargo pants and functional pockets in the most conspicuous of places (think utility vests that almost look bulletproof). Well this dress is its softer, more laidback cousin. With less rigid corners and more drape, it’s a breezy dress perfect for summer!

I went for earthy tones—olive, warm caramel and ecru with hints of gold. When I’m wearing dresses above the knee I like to tie my espadrilles higher on my calves, almost like gladiator sandals. But honestly it’s so difficult to keep them up without constricting my legs and leaving criss-cross marks that linger long after… the things we do to look nice. Anyways I don’t think I will be visiting South Africa anytime soon so this look will have to do for now (please ignore the loosened waist ties)
