Boo! Glittery Ghosties and Shimmering Spiderwebs for Halloween Nails
Every Halloween, I feel an irresistible urge to sprinkle a little imagination onto my fingertips.
Last year, my inspiration came from the softer, more playful side of spooky season—think mischievous ghosts and the delicate architecture of spiderwebs. Instead of going full-on gothic, I wanted to celebrate the season with an elegant, almost enchanted touch, channelling vibes from classic ghost stories or misty October mornings.
These nails aren’t your classic orange-and-black combo. On a base of high-sparkle cat-eye polish, I added tiny hand-painted ghosties that peek out with adorable black eyes. They’re subtle but sweet, a little bit ethereal and a lot cheeky—a nod to the not-so-scary side of Halloween that makes you want to curl up with a cosy book and a mug of chai. The spiderwebs are delicate, silvery lines over a jelly nude polish, so they shimmer in the light like a sophisticated, geometric pattern. And to tie everything together, the metallic chrome nails add that extra dash of drama, balancing the playfulness with a hint of grown-up charm.
I love how these nails feel on-season but not costume-y, with a palette of silvery metallics, translucent whites, and glimmering holographic shades that keep them subtle enough for everyday wear. Consider this my ode to October’s darkness and whimsy.
