UNIQLO x KAWS: Winter 2025 Collab

Tiny but mighty.
Think gallery-going on a grey afternoon, when the light is soft, and colours feel extra saturated. The Uniqlo x KAWS WINTER 2025 mini drop leans into that mood—cosy, a little introspective, but still unmistakably KAWS.
As Uniqlo’s inaugural Artist in Residence, KAWS steps away from the crowded graphic tees of past collaborations and into something slower: a tight knitwear capsule built around colour, texture and the tiniest XX motifs. The palette is beautifully edited—inky navy, deep green, mustard yellow and that perfect holiday red—more Celine-by-way-of-Brooklyn than comic-book merch. Compared to earlier Uniqlo x KAWS launches, this one feels grown up and collectable, like the quiet chapter in a long-running series.
There are only five pieces, but they’re considered. The 100% cashmere jumper is the hero: premium, feather-light, with discreet embroidery at the chest and cuff. It feels like slipping into a heated gallery after the wind has chapped your cheeks. The 100% lambswool jumper is its easier, everyday sibling—still soft and warm, but slightly more casual with contrast stitching at the neckline and sleeve “fashion marks” that echo vintage sportswear.
Then come the accessories, all rendered in HEATTECH knits that actually hold up on icy mornings. The scarf drapes long and clean, with a two-tone design and a hint of embroidery. I’ve been looping it over a wool coat for late-night walks, and it traps warmth without feeling bulky. The gloves are touchscreen-friendly, so you can keep scrolling and snapping photos in them without freezing. And the matching beanie has the perfect fold-over height, sitting snugly without flattening your fringe, with subtle XX embroidery peeking out like an inside joke for those who know.
Styling-wise, the women’s lookbook leans into relaxed tailoring and normcore layers: the red cashmere jumper half-tucked into dark corduroy, the navy lambswool over wide-leg jeans, the beanie and gloves thrown over an off-white sweatshirt for weekend coffee runs. Pair the navy jumper with straight blue denim and a long camel coat for a very “quiet luxury meets street art” moment, or on lazy days, let a yellow beanie do the talking with an all-cream base.
